Media Contacts
Media Check-In
Media check-in will be at the media tent, located
near the starting line at Ocean Park and Barnard Way, beginning
at 6:30 am. All credentials will be distributed at the media tent.
All media wishing to participate in the Media Mile will also be
given race numbers and will need to sign a waiver at this time.
Media Mile Description
The Media Mile is a friendly competition in which
members of the media (or 3 person teams) will have the opportunity
to compete against each other in a one-mile competition. The race
starts at 8:00 am at Ocean Park and Barnard Way, and the media mile
will finish at the Pier, where media can enjoy breakfast and watch
participants finish the race. Although the race is free to all members
of the media, those wishing to participate must check in at the
media tent (located at the starting line) no later than 7:30 am
in order to receive a free bib number and sign a waiver.
Lead Vehicle
Media wishing to cover the elite wave in the
LAS&F Invitational will have the opportunity to ride on the lead
vehicle. As limited space is available, media credential requests
must be submitted by Friday, October 19, 2007. Spaces on the lead
vehicle are at the discretion of the Media Relations Director.
