The sixth annual Santa Monica 5000 returns Sunday, October 2, 2011!

We're expecting friendly competition and some family fun. Whether you're a collegiate sprinter or a new mom, this event will challenge and entertain everyone. Races start at 7:30am at Ocean Park Blvd. and the Beach. All races finish on Ocean Ave, just above the Santa Monica Pier.

Be part of the only race to raise money for local student athletes and school sports programs with the Santa Monica-Malibu Education Foundation. Sign up now for the 5K, 10K or 2.7K and get free training all summer long.

Online Registration is closed - so head over to K-Swiss Santa Monica between 12-4pm on Saturday, October 1, 2011! Race Day registration opens @ 6:30am at the Start Line (2600 Barnard Way in Santa Monica).

10.04.11 - Results / Photos / Medals / Oh My!
Congratulations Runners and Walkers! Results are posted in the RESULTS section, and PHOTOS will be posted this week. If you didn't pick up your medal at the race, they will be available @ K-Swiss Santa Monica this weekend (for the next two weeks)!

09.30.11 - Packet Pick Up at K-Swiss
Don't forget packet pick up is SATURDAY from 12-4pm @ K-Swiss Santa Monica! Bring your sweet tooth - we have some chocolate yummies for everyone. If you want to wear your race shirt on race day - you must pick up your shirt @ K-Swiss (or after the race on the Santa Monica Pier).

09.30.11 - Massage after the race!
We have great Sports Massage Therapists offering 5 minutes for FREE after the race! Once you hit the finish line, come to the National Sports M.A.P. tent and sign-up for your sports massage session. Additional time is available at reasonable rates!

09.12.10 - Cragg and Kosgei set course records at event!
In a morning of thrilling finishes overlooking the coast of the Pacific Ocean, Irish Olympian Alistair Cragg set a new course record of 13:54 and held off Kenyan Aron Rono (14:05) in the fifth annual Lexus Santa Monica 5000 presented by K-Swiss. The men’s 10k was equally as exciting as Ugandan Samuel Kosgei (29:06) pulled away from Jim Grabow (29:11) in the final mile to set a new 10k course record above the Santa Monica Pier.
